We are living through a very difficult time. The COVID-19 virus has brought a great deal of suffering and worry to people across the world and restricted the lives of individuals, families and parishes.
Mass has not celebrated publicly for several months. This has been especially difficult for people of faith especially the bereaved and those celebrating important life events such as marriage, baptism, First Holy Communion or Confirmation.
The public health emergency has also impacted on people’s financial wellbeing. Many people have been out of work or have had their hours reduced or their businesses closed. Our parish has experienced a major drop in income. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has continued making their contributions through our pastoral office, Post Office or in other ways. We thank you for your ongoing support. Your generosity has ensured that the parish is able to continue to function and also fund additional expenditure such as cleaning, hand sanitizing and the installation of a webcam that can be accessed at www.kildysartparish.org We are also planning to replace the seating in the main aisle of our parish Church.
Some parishioners have expressed a wish to make their contributions electronically. It is possible to set up a weekly or monthly standing order whereby you may contribute an amount of your choice to the parish bank account. You may do this using your bankcard and the donate button on the Parish of Kildysart | Killaloe Diocese Alternatively, you may do so through your bank using the following information.
- Account Name: Kildysart Church Bishop of Killaloe and Parish Priest of Kildysart FTB
- IBAN IE93 AIBK 9353 8769 5130 82
- BIC AIBKIE2D
This is just a suggestion. It has the advantage of convenience and greater security. However, many parishioners may prefer to contribute as they have always done. We are simply recognising that fewer people are now using cash and prefer to use their bank card.
With renewed thanks for your generous support of our parish.
